Editorial Projects

This spring I copy edited a book on the late stained glass artist Franz Schroeder. Schroeder’s art reflected both his contemporary and traditional style which can be seen in more than 350 churches, mostly found in the US.
Here is a window with a depiction of the Holy Family from St. Rose of Lima Church in Jaz, Maine. I was delighted to work with Juergen Schroeder, son of the late artist and the layout designer for the book.

Board of Education

In 2022 I was appointed to the Chester Elementary School Board of Education and then elected for a four-year term in 2024. I am most passionate about students in grades k-6 developing the critical and creative thinking skills necessary to become lifetime learners. My favorite activity? Mystery/guest reader in the classroom!

Justice of the Peace

In 2025, I was sworn in as a Justice of the Peace for the Town of Chester after serving 10 years as a Justice of the Peace for the Town of Wallingford. I am also a Universal Life Minister. I enjoy serving the many couples in my community and using my experience to create a memorable dedication of love for them.

Personal Stuff

My husband John, a retired school teacher, and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Ireland. We have two married daughters, Julia and Charlotte, and two granddaughters, Willa and Remi. Two cats, Claude and Peanut and a rescue mini-poodle Brody complete our family.
